Kelly Smith has been hired by Renaissance Group, Inc. as a BIM Coordinator. She was previously with an architecture firm based out of Jonesboro and Little Rock, AR and has over 8 years of experience working primarily with Revit Architecture to create everything from schematic design presentation drawings to contract documents, derived from fully integrated Revit models. Smith will assist in managing large, multi-discipline Revit models, creating photorealistic renderings, and managing Revit standards.
FedEx Air Operations Training Center, one of Renaissance’s projects, was announced as a finalists for Memphis Business Journal’s third annual Building Memphis awards! Cole Getev has been hired by an intern architect. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture & Design. As an intern architect, he assists in Schematic Design phases with digital massing model studies and Photoshop sketch editing. He also works in design development using Revit.
Printer’s Alley Lofts development in Downtown Memphis are about to double the project’s size to $6.1 million with the addition of 22 lofts. The apartments, dubbed The Annex Lofts, should be move-in ready in early 2015. For the full story, click here.
